Rob’s wife, Gabrielle, chose this moment to try and burst into the cockpit. She hit the door with her whole body and started banging on it with her fists until Michael opened. Her face was wet with tears and her eyes shot daggers but it was her mouth that made both pilots gape. It had a thick ring of cold sores in full, painful bloom. The Great Romantic Binge 2
WARNING, in case some pre-teens are reading this blog, which they aren’t. The following text contains references to the mating process in humans, commonly referred to as sex. I can’t believe I just wrote this.
That’s right, I’m doing a second romantic binge, this time on books. I found a lovely collection of 17 romantic novels and novellas online and I’m about halfway through it. Which means I’ve had the time and the accumulation of information to make some conclusions. Continue reading The Great Romantic Binge 2
A Profound Look Back at the Week: July 20-26
Isn’t it fun that while we’re panting with the heat up here in the northern hemisphere, children in the southern one just had their winter break? This is what I call a strong start to the blog. Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Week: July 20-26

Sky High 6: The Rational Explanation
Gary burst in.
“Something’s wrong with the stewardess!”
Bianca started breathing again.
“What is it?” she asked.
“She was sitting next to me and she just doubled over and started moaning. It’s a bit scary,” the boy added, flushing. Continue reading Sky High 6: The Rational Explanation
This Summer’s Top Pet Peeves
What better time to make a roundup of the words and phrases that have made my life a little bit more interesting so far this year than mid-July when nothing happens. Normally. Some of those are all-time favourites and others are new crushes but I love them all. Continue reading This Summer’s Top Pet Peeves
